LET INSTALL 2.1


LET INSTALL 2.1 is an installation program for Microsoft Windows. It requires no programming.
You will need only to change the Install.ini file to adapt it at your situation, 
as complicated are you needs.

You can have as many installations disks as you want, as many subdirectories, 
9 install options, transfer an Everlock control, an installation journal etc...


INSTALLATION

Just Unzip the file and the program is read. You need to have these files:

1) SETUP.EXE    	The program to launch
2) INSTALL._XE		The main installation program
3) INSTALL._MP		The picture which will appear in the Install window
4) INSTALL.INI		All the attributes of the installation
5) VBRUN300.DLL		The DLL to use with Setup.exe
6) INSTALL._LL		A complementary DLL
7) THREED._BX		For 3D effects
8) EVMOVE._OM		To transfer the Everlock control
9) EVMOVE._AT		"		"		"
10) EVCHK._LL		To check if you can use the program
11) COMPRESS.EXE	To compress the files
12) ORDER.TXT		To Order the full version
13) README.TXT		This file



SOME POINTS
***********

To program the installation, you will have to modify the Install.Ini file. To do that
open it as a text file and follow the instructions.


1) Use COMPRESS to deflate the size of the files you want to install.

2) If you want so, you can create a file, JOURNAL.TXT, which describes exactly 
what the installation program has done. This is very useful for Uninstallation but
also to understand what happened if something went wrong. This file can be found in
the Install Subdirectory of the main Install Directory.

3) If the installation program has to replace a program, it asked first the permission
to do it. If it is allowed to, it copy the replaced program in the Install Subdirectory.
Nothing is lost and you will uninstall very easily.

4) You can have up to 9 install options. The space needed for each option is calculate
by the computer.

5) If you want to use the Evchk protection, you should first transfer the protection on
your install disk. In this cas, the installation program will show you how many installations
you can still do.

6) For the picture in the installations windows, you can use a BMP or WMF image. 
Keep in mind the size of the Picture box: 160 x 160 pixels.

7) This program also exists in french.
